Learn Something New: A new outlet

I'm a Chicago Humanities Festival groupie. Every year I get the schedule and cross reference it with my own calendar. For the last three years, I've volunteered as well, so I get a lot of free tickets. The tickets for general admission are only $5 and this is one of the best ways to see Chicago & its various cultural institutions- the History Museum, Harold Washington Public Library, the MCA.

This year's theme is "Climate of Concern," and I'm looking forward to seeing what all the most interesting humanists have to say about the environment. This is what I wish school had been! All different disciplines coming together to make a topic really come to life. It's not just seminars, people, but music, theater, art, and, well, really really interesting seminars!

If you want to learn something new, keep your gray matter pumping, this is the event for you. And I promise to blog about the programs I see.
